Timothy Mayer is a Director at Exton Advisors.

He was called to the Bar in 1997 and has over sixteen years’ experience in the disputes funding market at some of the leading global disputes funders, where he managed USD$ multi-million investments across a broad range of disputes, with particular focus on international arbitration.

Tim has been recognised in all the industry guides, including the Chambers and Partners Litigation Support Guide for Litigation Funding (2020 -2024), the Lawdragon 100 Global Leaders in Litigation Finance Guide (since 2020), and as a Third-Party Funding Thought Leader (Lexology Index).

He was a member of the joint International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) and Queen Mary University Third Party Funding Task Force. ICCA is a worldwide NGO working to improve the processes of arbitration, conciliation and other forms of dispute resolution. He also sat on the International Litigation Finance Association Working Group, where he contributed to its submissions on the UNCITRAL Working Group III Third Party Funding Reform Proposals in 2021.
